Carbon pledge

25 by 25: Cuppa pledges to reduce carbon emissions by 25% by 2025 in first step towards Net Zero

The world is in a climate crisis and we need to act. While it is not yet mandatory for businesses to strive for Net Zero, we want to be ahead of our time and we want to take action now.

Carbon emissions must be reduced to limit further rises in global temperatures and avoid catastrophic impacts. Suffolk’s ambition to achieve carbon neutrality by 2030 means we all have our part to play to make the county a greener, healthier place to live. Not to mention, as consumers and businesses alike are increasingly aware of the environmental impact of their purchasing decisions, there is a strong desire across our team to make sustainability a key consideration of our operations.

By making the 25 by 25 pledge, we have made the first step towards becoming a Net Zero organisation.

What do we mean by ‘Net Zero’?

The term Net Zero refers to the balance between the amount of greenhouse gas produced and the amount removed from the atmosphere. We reach Net Zero when the amount we add is no more than the amount taken away, and therefore not impacting on the environment.
